I call my songs Gratitude Songs.
A heart of gratitude goes far deeper than any favorable circumstances of our lives, because in the midst of wonderful blessings, there can also be great suffering. Gratitude songs are not meant to deny or diminish the gravity of the heart-wrenching challenges of our lives, but there is great comfort in the recognition that God is in control of all things, and He is holding us even through our deepest valleys. I hope that you can join me in worship as we sing:
“I’ve trusted in You, and I trust You now. I come to worship You.”

After formative years in SD, college in MN, and 42 years in beautiful Ithaca, NY, Jan and her husband Don moved back to the Midwest, where they are thoroughly enjoying their retirement years closer to their children and grandchildren .
